    Make sure you used a usb cable when installing the firmware and have a stable internet,are you?

     

    Go to the menu devices and printers and check if the computer sees the connection to the printer.

    5) Run the Activation Software to insert your Activation Key.

If not, can I "keep" the third key for if/whenever that printer is supported, or will different keys be issued at that point?

    Unfortunatelly ET-2810 is not supported yet.

    You should install the Chipless Firmware in NORMAL mode instead of UPDATE mode.

    Unfortunately, we do not have chipless firmware for this printer model, but this model is supported by the Waste Ink Counters reset utility.

Another person had this issue and they had to use another computer with an earlier version of windows however, I already had this printer installed with the firmware once when it was accidentally updated so I had to start from scratch and after getting the firmware back on it through the process of resetting to older firmware it now will not let me get through the activation process again. I do have a second printer and it will let me enter the activation code for it but not on my original printer.  have an XP 15000. Very frustrated contacting your company, tried all the venues you have and i get no responses and am hoping I get one here!!!

    You received instructions and the link to install Microsoft Visual C++ x64 and x86 2017-2022 packages in the letter with the WIC reset key. This is a prerequisite for the correct operation of the WIC reset utility.

    You should install them before running the utility and before using the WIC reset key, otherwise the key can be damaged.
