    I thought the chipless firmware was supposed to remove the ink monitoring as well, at least thats what the inkchip video shows and says.  

    I've already emailed support, but after doing some more research, seems this is a know issue?

    Our chipless firmware allows you to work with any cartridges, but if you actually run out of ink, you need to change them.

    The problem is not the firmware install. That runs through successfully.

    I am using win 10.

    Don’t put printer into Update Mode. In Normal Mode stop the boot process through the task manager at 75-85%. Don’t let it get to 100%. Then restart the printer and proceed to activation program.

    6. I ran the activation software. Here, the same as before, the software got stuck after I pressed the "activate online" button. To me it looks like it can't find either the printer or ther activation server, or I don't know?

    Please try to use another computer with windows version lower than 11th.

    Also make sure you used a usb cable when installing the firmware and have a stable internet.

    You should convince that you install the chipless firmware in NORMAL mode instead of UPDATE mode.

    Please try this updated file with the Chipless Firmware:

    1) Upload the Chipless Firmware which is attached above.

    2) Turn on the printer in the NORMAL MODE (using only the power button). Do not put the printer in the UPDATE MODE.

    The loading process will get stuck at 75-85% - that is OK.

    3) With the use of the task manager stop the loading process.

    Printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes . It should then turn off automatically.

    4) Now turn on the printer - Chipless Firmware should be installed!

    5) Run the Activation Software to insert your Activation Key.

    Even with a retry or completely redoing the install and resetting power.  How is this resolved?

    In the video guide it shows that you don't need it to load 100%. When the load gets stuck at 75-90%, that's okay! You will need to pull the cable out at that point and put it back in.

    Then turn the printer on just using the power button.

    Hello!

    Your original firmware cannot be downgraded to earlier versions, and our chipless firmware is an earlier version.

    Basic concepts of the solution:

    - Standard InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware, which must be loaded into the printer using Firmware Mode.

    - 99 InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware, which must be loaded into Normal Mode.

    - Firmware Mode - special mode for updating printer firmware, which is activated when a certain buttons combination is pressed.

    - Normal Mode - normal mode of operation of the printer, simple switching on the printer with the power button.

    Algorithm for solving the problem:

    1. Check and memorize the firmware version of the printer. The firmware version displayed is the original non-update version.

    2. Flash printer 99 with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode.

    3. When trying to activate the firmware with the Activation program and the activation code, the program will generate the Reading failed 1.

    4. Start flashing the printer 99 again with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode. When the firmware status in Firmware Mode reaches 100%, and the printer display finishes counting the percentage of the firmware status, you need to pull out the power cable of the printer.

    5. Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. Recovery Mode will appear on the display.

    6. Flash the printer with Inkchip firmware in Recovery Mode.

    7. Check the firmware version of the printer. The firmware version displayed must be different from the non-renewable firmware version. This version is the chipless firmware version of InkChip.

    8. Activate chipless firmware with the Activation program.

    This is just an example of a process, it doesn't matter what model of printer you have.

    And after that just ran again the inkchip firmware upload in normal mode.

    XP-15000. Did the firmware update, got stuck at 74%. As per video, i unplugged it and replugged back in. I went to activate and it says "please wait for the update to finish". 

    Ok, so go back into the firmware updater and now it cant find my printer in Step 5. I click refresh and nothing. 

    Now I am just stuck here...

    Stop the boot process through the task manager at 72%, restart the printer and proceed to activation program.

    I purchased this in September of 2021... it never worked.  Decided to give it a try again.  You're firmware installer will not find the printer.  It has never had a firmware update minus the 14 failed attempts it hard back when I originally purchased this.

     

    I have followed your YouTube guide and the pdf guide.  It always freezes on step 5.  Software goes to "Not Responding".
