1 pointI suppose it is not a popular model, but I was wondering is anyone working on chipless firmware for EC-C7000? Even with a firmware rollback, its been a pain in the butt. Haven't printed anything but test pages and it's not recognizing my cyan or magenta. This is a replacement by the way. PLEASE, please consider.

1 pointHello! Please try this updated file with the Chipless Firmware: https://inkchip.net/download/INKCHIP.net_Firmware_99_XP960_v1.rar 1) Upload the Chipless Firmware which is attached above. 2) Turn on the printer in the NORMAL MODE (using only the power button). Do not put the printer in the UPDATE MODE. The loading process will get stuck at 75-85% - that is OK. 3) With the use of the task manager stop the loading process. Printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes . It should then turn off automatically. 4) Now turn on the printer - Chipless Firmware should be installed! 5) Run the Activation Software to insert your Activation Key. Let me know the result! Thanks!

1 pointHello! Your original firmware cannot be downgraded to earlier versions, and our chipless firmware is an earlier version. Basic concepts of the solution: - Standard InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware, which must be loaded into the printer using Firmware Mode. - 99 InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware, which must be loaded into Normal Mode. - Firmware Mode - special mode for updating printer firmware, which is activated when a certain buttons combination is pressed. - Normal Mode - normal mode of operation of the printer, simple switching on the printer with the power button. Algorithm for solving the problem: 1. Check and memorize the firmware version of the printer. The firmware version displayed is the original non-update version. 2. Flash printer 99 with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode. 3. When trying to activate the firmware with the Activation program and the activation code, the program will generate the Reading failed 1. 4. Start flashing the printer 99 again with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode. When the firmware status in Firmware Mode reaches 100%, and the printer display finishes counting the percentage of the firmware status, you need to pull out the power cable of the printer. 5. Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. Recovery Mode will appear on the display. 6. Flash the printer with Inkchip firmware in Recovery Mode. 7. Check the firmware version of the printer. The firmware version displayed must be different from the non-renewable firmware version. This version is the chipless firmware version of InkChip. 8. Activate chipless firmware with the Activation program. This is just an example of a process, it doesn't matter what model of printer you have. Please watch the video on our official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7qWYWjMNFQ And after that just ran again the inkchip firmware upload in normal mode.

1 pointHi! Did you install the Microsoft C ++ packages (64x and 86x) before running the utility? If yes, please send me a screenshot from the download menu, so that I can see the date and time when the packages were installed.

1 pointHi! After installing chipless firmware you can always go back to the original firmware.
-
1 pointSuccess! For all the others struggling with this issue - hang in there! This firmware solution really does work, but the install is buggy as all get out! Step one - Run the firmware install program. It will stall at about 71% after the printer has turned off and back on. Start Windows Task Manager (Press Ctrl + Alt + Del together and select Task Manager.) Sometime around 80% the printer will make one last sound. End the InkChip task before you get the error message. If you let the error come up, the program will set the "failed" flag and the Activation program will not run. Step 2 - Run the Activation program. (It looks different than the example in the instructions on the "soft" tab.) You will need the Serial Number of your printer and the Activation Key from your Activation e~mail. Select the "Activate online" button. A window will appear saying to Input S/N. Type in your printer's Serial number and select "OK" You will get an error that the Serial Number is invalid, but the serial number will appear in the top box (Serial & ID Code box) along with some computer language codes. Select "Cancel" on the Input S/N window. You're halfway there! Step 3 - Tap the second empty open box (Activation Code box) to move your cursor to the Activation key portion. Tap the "Activate online" key again. The Input S/N window will reappear. This time enter your Activation Key exactly as it appears in the e-mail. (It's easiest to copy and paste it.) Tap the "OK" button. You will get an invalid S/N error again. Tap Cancel. The lower open box will fill with computer codes representing your Activation Key. IMPORTANT: Copy these codes and save them to a text document. If for any reason your firmware gets updated by your printer's company, this is the only way you can reinstall the InkChip firmware WITHOUT having to buy a new key. Step 4: Underneath the Activation Code box, tap the Activate key. You will get an Activation Complete message and your printer will restart. Happy, happy, JOY, JOY! You've jumped through all the hoops and all ink cartridges will read as full all the time, and you can put any cartridge that fits in your printer. You can refill your own cartridges or buy filled after-market ones. FREEDOM FROM TYRANNY!

1 pointSince you have not replied yet to my last message here, I have since removed and uninstalled all Epson related printers, fax etc. I then turned off my network router and tried to install the printer with a USB cable many times but could not. I then broke out a brand new printer USB cable, still had the factory wire on it, and tried it with that as well as tried several USB ports in the top and back of my desktop computer. All to no avail. At this point I had no way to print anything so I turned the network router on again and attempted to install it with the network router and it immediately worked. So now I have the printer installed with the computer seeing the 2 Epson listings of: EPSON WF-2850 Series (FAX)WF-2850 Series(Network) Default and the DYMO LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo. I'm at a total loss as to how to get this to work as the upgrade installation program has no problem working with sometimes saying success and sometimes saying it failed, which some of your website areas say is OK. But the ACTIVATION still fails to show any printers. Apparently your program requires the printer to be installed with a USB cable, but I am unable to do this. This is frustrating after buying the key and extra bottles of ink to use only to not be able to use any of it. Can you please find a way we can work on this directly at the same time instead of me waiting days for your replies? I'd truly like to get this problem fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

1 pointHi Working wonderfully for me at present...better than I should expect I think...all my colours are showing full...but as I said I have printed quite a few Tri fold brochures using a lot of cyan...and the cartridge showed about 1/3 full when I finished printing so I clicked the "change cartridge" button so as to get the position for refill...didn't take the cartridge out but carefully filled the cartridge in position... as soon as I could see the cartridge was full I replaced the bung clicked finished and it showed full again...thought how wonderful if it could be if they all did that...well I just finished printing all black page's with some white text yellow picture's and text and sure enough the black cartridge showed a small amount left in the cartridge after printing about 12 A5 pages filled it the same way again clicked on finish on the printer menu boom back to full...the reason I'm pleased is that in my understanding the Ink's should be showing full at all times and not reporting how much ink you have used ?... when I look at the menu to show how much Ink has been used (computer software and printer screen they show used amounts with all colour's (as they did originally) however when I fill any of the ink cartridge's They all show full ink once again...I will have to try and remember the position of the inks before filling...like I said it's working great for me...Hope yours come's back from Epson ready to go again...if only Epson would look at trying to stop Fleecing user's of their Printers with outrageous prices on their inks all this could go away. Regards Terry

1 pointAs an after thought...I reinstalled the 99 solution a couple of times... I waited on the last install and it went up to 94% before I shut ii down through task master ( I waited until it shut it's self down before I pressed the start up button. Terry

1 pointMy original was NWO7WC...Then nw2017...This is what I found on the NW2017...(which I think is solution 99 appended) Recovery Mode Firmware version NW20I7 for Epson XP-15000This file contains the Recovery Mode Firmware Update for the Epson XP-15000. Notes: This firmware update should only be used if your printer's control panel displays a recovery mode error. A USB cable is required. Make sure no other USB devices are connected to the computer during the update process. Do not unplug, power-off or attempt to use the printer during the update process. This update may take up to 15 minutes to complete. My current is still the NW2017... reading it from the printer right now... but I updated it with the 99 solution from inkchip Once I sorted the copy and paste thing everything is going OK (fingers crossed) I did have a few small blobs on my prints but when I cleaned up the seal on the cartridge all was fine. Strange thing after printing a couple of two sided brochure's using a lot of cyan the ink cartridge shows some use...all others are showing full let you know haw it pans our. Terry

1 pointLo último que puedes hacer es bajar el firmware original de Epson directamente de Internet primero. Descargue una versión más antigua. Y luego instalar el firmware sin chip de tinta.

1 pointOn Epson the "Wrong ID printer from the printer" or "Reading failed 1" error occurs when flashing into chipless version. The problem described here can also manifest itself as the fact that after successful flashing and activation, the printer still requires ink cartridges. These problems occur if the printer is updated with the original firmware version from 2020. This original firmware cannot be downgraded to earlier versions and our chipless firmware is an earlier version. Basic concepts of problem solving: - Original Epson unsupported firmware - original Epson firmware that causes firmware problem. - Standard InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware to be loaded into the printer using Firmware Mode. - 99 InkChip firmware. Chipless firmware to be loaded into Normal Mode. - Firmware Mode - special mode for updating the firmware of the printer, which is activated when a certain key combination is pressed. - Normal Mode - normal mode of operation of the printer, simply turning on the printer with the power button. The algorithm of problem solving: 1. Check and memorize the firmware version of the printer using the Print Help program. The firmware version displayed is the original non-renewable version. 2. 2. Flash the printer with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode. 3. When trying to activate the firmware with Activation and the activation code, the program will generate Reading Fail 1. 4. Re-start the process of flashing the printer with InkChip firmware in Firmware Mode. When the firmware status of the printer reaches 100% in Firmware Mode and the firmware status of the printer is displayed, pull out the power cable of the printer. 5. Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. Recovery Mode will appear on the display. 6. 6. Flash the printer with Inkchip firmware in Recovery Mode. 7. 7. Check the firmware version of the printer using the Print Help software. The version displayed must be different from the non-renewable firmware version and must be from 17. This version is a chip-less InkChip firmware. 8. Activate the chipless firmware with the Activation program.

1 pointCurrent firmware version on the printer is AT12GC.

I'm sending you new installation instructions: Switch on in normal mode(!!!!) just turn on button . - dont put printer in Program Update mode. (no need to press few buttons while turn on the printer) The uploading process will stuck at 70-80% - it is ok! Open task manager and stop updater process. Printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes - then will power OFF.
