EPSON WF-2650 FIRMWARE NOT COMPLETING

I have the Epson WF-2650.  My laptop is using Windows 11.  I followed the instructions for updating the printer firmware up to step 7.  At this point it seems to have stalled.  The following message is on the screen:

SUM  2D5C/5BCF

VER  DP02I/ 13.60

The blue power light is flashing slowly.  The message has not changed in over 2 hours and the flashing has continued.  My laptop is plugged into power.

Not sure what to do next.  I have my activation code but cannot seem to get to the next step.
