ET 5850 - borderless printing not aviable

Hello, Epson ET 5850 owner and just replaced the maintenance box (c9345) for an OEM new one however, now the printer shows a "Maintenance Error" message.

The printer's borderless printing ink pad has reached the end of its service life. It is not a user-replaceable par. Please contact Epson support.

So the printer wont let print any borderless job which is what we mostly use, is there any way to reset this counters? is it referring to the platen pads?
