INKCHIP - Chipless & Adjustment Program Solution

Recommended Posts

Hello,
Done firmware downgrade and activation. When I print the pages come out blank and during or after the first page I get error 031002.  From what I've read, this error has something to do with the print head overheating. This does not happen when I go back to the updates firmware. ANy help is much appreciated. Thanks you!

Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?

Thank you for the reply. Yes, the error code "031002" is either printhead or  board overheating.  I'm using a PC Windows 10 Home 64bit.

With the printer powered on, remove the power cord from the back.

Wait 2 minutes

Plug back in the power cord and power it on

Do you still have the error?

I tried that and unfortunately it does not work.  I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Chipless Software. If I downgrade the firmware the printer works flawlessly but as soon as I activate the chipless software then it will print blank pages and after a few seconds it will stop and give me the printer error.

Please try this new file for you.

https://inkchip.net/download/INKCHIP.net_Firmware_99_XP15000_v1.rar

1) Upload firmware which I sent

2) Switch on in normal mode(!!!!) just turn on button . - dont put printer in Program Update mode. (no need to press few buttons while turn on the printer)

The uploading process will stuck at 70-80% - it is ok!

Open task manager and stop updater process.

Printer will blink for about 5-15 minutes - then will power OFF.

Now power on the printer - chipless firmware is installed in your printer!

Good afternoon!

Dear, we have checked with all technical supervisors and we are 100% sure that our firmware has no impact on the technical problems of the printhead, the printer and the print quality.

Most likely, error 031002 and blank pages mean that ink cannot get into the printhead, so it overheats and you get this error. So the problem should be either the ink quality or the print head.

And we recommend you double check with your ink supplier to see if they have any complaints about cleaning the print head from ink, and if they have not, contact Epson Distributors about the problem.

Pretty sure it is the Chipless Software because if I update the firmware the printer works fine, If I downgrade the firmware but do not activate the chipless software the printer works fine, only after I activate the chipless software does the printer print blank and give me this error.  It's a 100% brand new printer using Epson OEM ink cartridges. If it was a hardware failure then it would print blank and error out regardless of what firmware the printer is using.
