Do you have to set up the new printer and ink first?

Hello, I have a brand new Epson XP-4100. Should I set it all up with the ink cartridges it comes with and the wifi settings etc first? Then follow your instructions with installing your firmware and activation key after?

I heard something about needing to have all new full proper ink cartridges first - not just the starter ones it comes with. So just want to make sure. Thanks!

Not necessarily. You can install the firmware even without the cartridges
