I use compatible cartridges. Should I buy CISS also?

Definitely YES! It's completely another experience.

Can you advise any CISS model or manufacture?

If you will use it with Chipless firmware, you can buy any ciss for your XP-630.
You don't need CISS to be with CHIPS

You can buy any that suits you and compatible with your printer.
And as John said you can buy it without chips. It will be chipper than with them.

Printer was updated but firmware version wasn't changed. What to do?

It's an old printer model. You need to update it in NORMAL MODE. Don't put it in firmware update mode.

It's shows connection error when reached 14%.
I tried different USB ports and cables. Still the same.

Do you use CISS or cartridges for printing?
Try to put old cartridges with Chips inside. Printer needs chips to be installed before update.

It's helped. I put old 3d party cartridges and it updated well.
I knew I shouldn't throw them away😀

How can I restore my activation now?

You could use recovery code which was generated by activation software when you activate it before.
If you didn't save it, you need to buy new code.

I just purchased key for Epson XP-440.  I followed instructions exactly, it keeps failing and then it will start asking for paper and spitting out blank pages until the causes a paper jam and then I get an error code on the printer. Please tell me what im doing wrong, or why this is not working for me.
