Activation Exe not working

I have confirmed the firmware is installed in the printer.  I have two issues with activation

1.  the activation exe does not open when I click open or run as administrator, nothing happens.   I need to restart my computer and 1 out of 5 times it will open. 

 

2.  When I do get the activation window to open, the serial and ID code is not displaying so I cannot activate anything.  I do get the drop down menu to select my printer .

I was having the same problem.  After downloading this link I finally have it in English, but I cannot select my printer.  There are no printers listed.
