Will not activate

I open and run the firmware. I have successfully done it 5 times...I have verified no other printers. When I hit ok the printer turns off... When I turn it back on and start the activation software I get a strange box and error messages...the printer just displays no ink tanks... I have done with chipless tanks in and out. I just bought this morning and after hours I still cannot get it to work.
