I tried to activate the firmware but it still shows the Read Failed 1 error message. It won't allow me to activate online and after a few seconds the printer shuts down. Again I've tried this many times already.

I have followed the instructions and it still does not work. It says my cartridges cannot be recognised. These are new Epson 288 ink cartridges I just put into the printer. I removed then replaced the cartridges and it still shows the warning message. I've done this many times already and the ink levels are depleting each time and I have yet to actually print anything with these new ink cartridges.

I purchased an activation key before starting the process. I followed the set up as directed but when I got to the Application Activation I got the Read Failed-1. I then downloaded the Application 99 for my printer model followed the directions but then it won't give me the Serial & ID code when I try to activate online. My printer now does not recognize my cartridges and it shuts off every time I click the activate online button. What do I do?
